What Happens If There's a Concern?
If an incident is reported:
- Notice is Provided - You will be informed in writing of the concern and the process that follows.
- Information is Gathered - The college may meet with you and others to learn more.
- A Determination is Made - Decisions are made based on "more likely than not" evidence, also known as preponderance of evidence.
- Sanctions, If Needed, Are Applied - Sanctions (from a warning to educational requirements) are designed to support growth and community well-being.
- Appeal Rights are Explained -You may appeal for specific reasons as outlined in policy.
Conduct actions are intended to educate, not punish. Every step is an opportunity to reflect, learn, and improve.
