Flagstaff, Ariz. – More than 800 students and staff at Coconino Community College availed themselves of free bus passes made possible through a partnership with the bus line.   And the program is being continued again this year!   According to information from the Northern Arizona Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority (NAIPTA), 768 students and 48 staff members of CCC received bus passes for the 2016-17 academic year. CCC students and members of TRiO Student Support Services visited three universities recently.   Flagstaff, Ariz. - Their journey took them through three states over five days in May.   The purpose: Open up their horizons to the possibilities of education.   Eight Coconino Community College students took a tour of three universities and got a glimpse of the wider world during a field trip to Nevada, Utah and Colorado. Flagstaff, Ariz. -- Adam Bradley got married in 2010. He had a high school diploma, but a high school education didn't serve the goal he had:   To work with computers.   "I was running into issues finding a job," Bradley added.   So, he decided to enroll at Coconino Community College in 2011, and now, a graduate of Northern Arizona University, he has reached his goal. CCC student Stacy Camp applied for and received several scholarships through the CCC Foundation to help support her return to college for a Nursing degree.   FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Coconino Community College Nursing student Stacy Camp was past 40 when she decided to return to school part time in 2011.   She had been a stay-at-home mom who homeschooled her five children and took care of a very ill son.
