Intro to Music, Dance, & Acting
Join us to learn the elements of music, dancing and acting! This four day camp will include lessons on beginning drama, singing, and movement, ending in daily voluntary student performances. Materials, snacks, and camper t-shirt included.
Ages: 6-11
Location: CCC Lone Tree Campus (Room TBD)
Laura Vineyard has been working in professional musical theatre since she was 16 years old. She currently is a SAG/Equity member and a professional theater director. She has been teaching voice. piano and directing children's choirs since the last century. Laura is a graduate of film and voice performance from USC Cinematic Arts and Thornton Music School. She has enjoyed dance for 7 years including ballet, jazz, modern and ballet.
Her professional directing, acting and singing performances include, "Sound of Music, Oklahoma, Carousel, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Steel Magnolias, City Slickers, The Boyfriend School, Bound for Oregan and Rags." Her opera performances include, "Cosi Fan Tutte, Marriage of Figaro, Hansel and Gretel and Amahl and the Night Visitors." Recently she was in a Public Service Announcement for Northern Arizona.
In addition, Laura serves on the board for Women of Cinematic Arts, Flagstaff Musical Theatre, and works with Theatrikos and FACTS.
As a mother of three, her youngest daughter was Cinderella in "Into the Woods" and soloist in "The Nutcracker" Ballet at NAU.
Teaching musical theater camp this summer is going to be a fabulous time. I can not wait to meet the campers and get going for the best time ever!
