Creating Chocolate Candies and Treats
In this class you will have an opportunity to learn about working with chocolate to create hot chocolate bombs, cake decorations, and bonbons. This is a hands-on class where you will make your treats in CCC's Fourth Street Kitchen. The class fee includes all materials and equipment needed. We will supply chocolate, marshmallows, hot chocolate powder, sprinkles, as well as two molds that you keep, and chocolate treats you take home!
Class instructor Lyvier Conss has been working with chocolate for over 15 years as a means to relax and bring joy to friends and family. Ms. Conss has leveraged the essential skills of the trade, including tempering, dipping, moulding, decorating and sculpting. She has also created recipes to incorporate into truffles, bonbons and cakes. For her wedding she baked various cakes which incorporated the use of chocolate, isomalt sugar decorations, champagne, and fresh flowers. For years she has baked extensively and decorated her made-from-scratch cakes and cupcakes utilizing chocolate molds to convey the desired message to those receiving her tasty treats.
