Honoring the Past, Looking to the Future

CCC opened its doors in 1991 to fill a growing community need for affordable, accessible, and quality education for everyone. We are so proud that now, after 30 years, we have become a thriving educational institution doing just that. CCC's legacy is student success, demonstrated by improved quality of life for themselves, for those around them, and for their communities.  We are enormously proud of what our students have achieved.

Our pride for the past is rivaled only by our excitement for the future!  We will continue to offer programs, and to develop new ones, that help our students succeed, whatever their dreams of the futures may be.

President's Message

When we celebrate the day of someone's birth, it is because we are celebrating person and everything that person brings to the world. On this 30th birthday celebration year for CCC, I want to celebrate every single student and colleague past, present and future – the collective “We of CCC.”

I want to celebrate students who come to CCC and gain self-confidence to approach decisions in their lives in new ways because of their experience here. I want to celebrate students in career and technical programs earning certificates and moving directly into the work world with new skills and with pride for their accomplishments. I want to celebrate students who weren’t quite ready for a large university but succeeded academically in ways they never imagined possible and then transferred to a university to achieve their goals. I want to celebrate students who return to school after raising a family or working in a job that went away, learn new skills and find a new purpose in their lives. I want to celebrate students who find, or rediscover, their passion. I want to celebrate students who come to us with help to achieve a dream and to make a difference in their communities.

This celebration would not be possible without the dedicated, hard-working faculty and staff who, without hesitation, put Students First. I want to celebrate all of them, who, throughout the years, have made an indelible impression on CCC’s students.

Let’s all celebrate CCC’s 30 years of service to our communities in Coconino County and the 100,000-plus students who have passed through our classrooms in search of help for a better life for themselves and their families.  Let’s celebrate the “We of CCC.”
