CCC Student Life would like to invite our CCC students to attend the "Change Happens" Student Leadership Retreat. This student leadership retreat is an awesome opportunity to build your network, meet leaders in various capacities, develop your leadership skills, attend workshops, and hear from our keynote speaker, Abby Wambach. The Student Life leaders from Coconino Community College, Maricopa Community College, and Central Arizona College are proud to present the "Change Happens" Student Leadership Retreat. September 22nd - Handling Change
Day 1 Schedule:

  • 10 am Workshop: "We Belong in College" Film Screening & Discussion
  • 2 pm Workshop: "Where do you belong?" Presented by: Dr. Belinda Romos & Dr. Yvonne Reineke
  • 4 pm Guest Leader Panel on "Handling Change"


September 23rd - Social Justice
Day 2 Schedule:

  • 10 am Workshop: "Designing Social Justice from a Place of Equity," presented by Sam Garman
  • 2 pm Workshop: "Social Justice and Sustainability," presented by Rowdy Duncan
  • 4 pm Guest Leader Panel on "Social Justice"


September 24th - Civil Engagement
Day 3 Schedule:

  • 10 am Workshop: "Civic Engagement: What Is It & Why Should I Care?" presented by Deana Villanueva-Saucedo
  • 2 pm Workshop: TITLE TBA - presenter: Albert Olivas
  • 4 pm Keynote Speaker: Abby Wambach, two-time Olympic gold medalist, a FIFA Women's World Cup champion, and a member of the National Soccer Hall of Fame
