Early Childhood Workshop
Play: Where Learning Begins
Tuba City High School students from Mrs. Goatcher's Early Childhood Education program demonstrated the use of puppets during a "Play : Where Learning Begins" workshop in Tuba City on April 18th of this year. The students performed a short puppet show that they wrote, designed to demonstrate how puppetry and play can be used as important learning activities. After their performance, the students helped workshop attendees use a wide variety of materials in making their own puppets. The students are earning Dual Enrollment credit through Coconino Community College with the help of a FTF grant, while working toward earning their CDA certification.
