The Information Technology Division of Coconino Community College is working on a significant initiative, called identity management. This initiative impacts all users by standardizing a login ID for all technologies. The result of this project is a single login ID and password for all services the college offers.
The identity management projects is divided into two phases. Phase 1 begins with the creation of a common ID for all users and is expected to take approximately 5-8 months to complete. Phase 2 concludes with moving all technologies to use the same password. The identity management project is sponsored by the Information Technology Division. An ad-hoc identity management committee is in place to oversee project details, communications, and decisions. The committee was created to have representation from students, faculty, staff, and IT administrators. Decisions made by the identity management committee are brought forward to the college technology committee for review. The identity management project is sponsored by the Division of Information Technology.
