Hello everybody.

I’m looking for your help.
Conservation Services Group is doing a national study on energy usage in non Energy Star homes.
I’m wondering if any of you would be willing to volunteer data from your homes?
What I’m looking for is the energy usage data for the past 12 months for the home.
APS and UNSG can send this info to you at your (the owner/occupant’s) request.
I’d come out to the house to measure its dimensions, note building materials, and have a look at your appliances and their efficiencies.
When all is collected, I’ll put together a HERS RemRate software model of the home’s performance.
Such a file will tell us about the energy performance of the home, specific to home as it is and within our climate and utility rate structures.
As a courtesy, I’d be willing to provide you with reports about your home for educational purposes.
Please let me know if you are willing and interested to participate in this survey/study.

Here’s a summary of the purpose:
Comparing modeling results with actual energy usage, evaluating building practices and efficiency in non-Energy Star homes. It’s a research project to help us all understand modeling vs real-world results. We are looking at existing houses around the country to see if the modeling changes per climate zone, in addition to evaluating general accuracy of REMRate.
