Introduction to Internet Marketing & Social Media for Business

This new entrepreneurship program presents an overview that integrates digital marketing, social media, personal branding, and entrepreneurship in a clear and instructive manner that everyone can understand. The course will focus on the need of every business to have an internet presence, and provide tools and strategies that can be put in place immediately. Internet Presence and Website Building for Small Business: Website Design I

Need a website but don’t think you can build it yourself? Designing a website for your business is easier than you think when you attend Internet Presence and Web Site Building for Small Business- Website Design I. In three hours you will explore web design using free, easy to use software. Participants will develop a basic small business site with professional quality images.

Students should register a domain name prior to class, and bring website text, and digital files containing photos and logos.

*Introduction to Internet Marketing and Social Media will help students to develop content, and is strongly recommended as a prerequisite for inexperienced students.

                                                                                                                

Website Design II

How can you leverage your website to grow your business? Learn how to optimize your web presence and internet marketing strategy when you attend Website Design II. This three hour course will focus on developing and effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategy, creating blogs, and review social media tools available to drive traffic to your website and convert visitors to customers.

                                                                                                                                            

Business Basics

This three hour training is designed for individuals interested in starting a business as well as those in business for two or less years. Course topics include business concept evaluation, marketing, market research, startup costs, sources of capital, insurance, cash flow analysis and cash management. Legal topics effecting businesses will be outlined and included a discussion of business legal structure options, licensing, tax and permit requirements, employee/employer requirements, protecting your business ideas (intellectual property). Business Plan Writing

This course is designed for individuals and businesses that are interested in writing a viable business plan. Topics include organizational and market objectives, market analysis, competitive comparison, how to prepare a SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunities and threat) analysis for both your business and then competition, business environment, customer profile, operational infrastructure, supplier development, business legal structure, personnel, and intellectual property issues such as trademarks, copyrights and patents. In addition the workshop will cover the essential elements of business finance including start-up costs, cash flow projections, profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash management.

                                                                                                                                         

Beginning Quickbooks

Course reviews basic bookkeeping issues and accounting reports, how to set up QuickBooks for a new company, how to set up preferences for your company, entering and paying bills, invoicing customers and receiving payments, making deposits, a review of the reports available in QuickBooks, and how to view and modify reports.
