You live a new life for every new language you speak.  If you know only one language, you live only once.  -Czech proverb

WHY LEARN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE?

Research has shown tremendous benefits to learners who acquire a foreign language. Language study develops critical thinking skills and gives you a competitive edge as an employee. It also sharpens your interpersonal communication abilities and helps you to gain an understanding, respect, and appreciation of other cultures. Heritage speakers can connect with their own roots by studying the language of their ancestors.

Our program offers opportunities for students to explore seven different foreign languages. All of our courses have been articulated for transfer to universities and can be used for credit for general education, elective credit, or personal growth. Students who need two years of foreign language for university admission can meet those requirements here.
