Faculty Reception Services

Hours: M-TH 8:00 – 5:00 / Friday 9:00 - 4:00

Closed on Saturdays & Sundays

These hours will change when students and faculty are not on campus.

The Faculty Receptionist provides several services for all faculty.  Below are a few of the services most utilized by faculty.

Copy Request

Copy machines are located in the Faculty Work Room, room #440, and at Faculty Reception, room #446.  Staff is available to make copies for instructors in the Faculty Reception area.  Ask the faculty receptionists for details. The Duplicating Center, room #218, is also available for large copy requests.  For more information call the Duplicating Center @ ext. 4340.

When making copies or completing a copy request, you will need a copy code.  Your department chair will have the appropriate code. You must have a copy code before using copiers.

If you need assistance with the copiers the faculty receptionist will assist you only if available.  Otherwise, you can call the Duplicating Center for help with paper jams or malfunctions.

Requests from students will not be processed, so please do not send a student for copies.

 Homework and handout assignments

Students will be able to drop off homework at the Faculty Reception office.  When dropping off homework students will write their information on a log sheet.  The faculty receptionist will then date, initial, and indicate time assignment is received and place in the instructor’s mailbox.  Because of the volume of homework received, we cannot guarantee the homework will be given to the instructor in a timely manner or will not be lost.  Please inform your students.

If you make an appointment with your students, please inform the Faculty Receptionist where you can be located.

Each instructor has a folder located in the faculty reception area.  You may leave tests, handouts and other items for your students to pick up.  (We do not proctor exams)

Instructional Supplies

Instructional supplies such as markers, erasers, paper, pens, etc; are available in the Faculty Reception office.  Supplies specific to your class or department will need to be approved by your department chair.  If approved by your Department Chair you can purchase your items and request reimbursement or order through the Shipping and Receiving Department.  T

he Faculty Reception office has a designated drawer with supplies for an instructor teaching after the reception area is closed.  Please ask your Faculty Receptionist for more information.

When possible the receptionists are also available for other tasks that do not require them to leave the front desk, such as labeling, sorting, shredding, etc:
